Bacon and Caramel plus French food

Today was a relaxing day. With Grant off to Grandma's for Spring Break I had time to do a few chores, some laundry.. etc. I also cooked, baked, finished a book Live Wire and started another, Girl With the Dragon Tattoo . I have a couple of Michael Lewis books going also. I had dinner with the Martel's. On the menu for the week is the Boeuf Bourguignon I made today. Always better the next day. I also baked some Bacon Shortbread courtesy of with some homemade Caramel Buttercream. Caramel Buttercream is a time intensive little process, but worth it. Just when you think you've ruined it, it comes together in the end.

  2. Nothing can beat Boeuf Bourguignon. I just add some potatoes and carrots. Yummy !
